New Ledbury Estate resolution made
On Thursday 19th October, Ledbury Action Group members and residents attended a constituency Labour Party meeting for Camberwell & Peckham proposing a motion in the benefit of residents.
The majority of attendees were in favour of the Ledbury motion, however it was clear that Southwark’s Labour Councillors were not in agreement, as they repeatedly voted against the motion, and put forward three pages of proposed amendments towards the end of the meeting, meaning the motion debate was delayed until
next month.
In an attempt to speed up resolutions for the residents of the Ledbury Estate - Ledbury Action Group proposed a meeting with their Labour ward councillors Richard Livingstone and Michael Situ to create a brand new motion, co-produced by both residents and councillors, in the hope that it would get passed quickly and save any residents further delays.
We are pleased to have been able to reach an agreement with the Councillors. Please find the new and updated Ledbury Estate motion below.
